- STARelief and Pet Assistance's mission is to provide veterinary care, temporary homes, food and emergency shelter to pets whose caretakers are struggling with financial hardship. The best place for any dog or cat is in a loving home - STARelief is a group of volunteers dedicated to keeping pets & families together during hard financial times. They do this by donating pet food & supplies, as well as assisting families with routine and emergency veterinary care, and spaying & neutering their pets. Their goal is to lessen the amount of animals that are left behind or relinquished to local animal shelters. They assist low income, seniors, disabled, current and former military personnel & the homeless with pets.
